About Play And Learn (PAL)

pal2The Play-and-Learn (PAL) co-op is an on-going, year-round program for children age 2 – 4.  Classes are run by an instructor employed by the PAA, and supported by parents and caregivers as rotating, daily class helpers. The classes are grouped by age and focus on socialization, separation, and age appropriate learning.  Classes are held on the 2nd floor of Payson House.

Classes occur year-round. From September through June, we operate on the New York City public school calendar.

There are 5 sessions of PAL classes. Please see the table below for when classes meet. Each class has 8 students in it with the teacher and one assistant for each class. Parents/caregivers rotate to be the class assistant. Session I (5 days/week) is for the older children, and sessions II-V (2-3 days/week) are for the younger children.
